Posted: Jul. 06th, 2015

In 2014, interactive flat panels witnessed an increase in their market sales while the projected whiteboards suffered a decline, which lead to an irreversible Death Cross in terms of the proportions they accounted for the market share of the interactive devices. The statistics reported in the first quarter of 2015 are further indicative of the tendency that Interactive flat panels will continue to grow at a high speed.

According to the latest statistics released by the authoritative Statistics Investigation Agency AVC, 1,570,000 sets of interactive display devices which consist of interactive flat panels and electronic whiteboards were shipped in total in the first quarter in 2015. Interactive flat panels accounted for 38% of the total shipment throughout the year in 2014, reaching a peak at 41% in the third quarter. However, they made a breakthrough in the first quarter this year, which accounted for 45% of the total shipment, increasing by 115.6% from the same period last year. Based on the sales distribution of interactive flat panels in the previous year, it is expected that the figure will continue to rise in the following quarters. Although the projected electronic whiteboards accounted for 55%, the percentage actually declined compared to the same period last year.

The shipment of interactive display devices is expected to break 1,000,000 sets this year, whose annual sales are likely to exceed 125,000,000,000 RMB, compared to 102 ,000,000,000 RMB last year. It’s predicted that interactive flat panels are likely to break the watershed of 50% for the first time in terms of the percentage they account for the shipment of interactive display devices throughout the year in 2015.
